o As part of a minimal restructuring and expansion process, a new building was constructed on one of the company’s own factory premises. The marketing team, procurement and product development teams were relocated here with expectation to foster a more independent work environment to focus on market growth mechanisms and product development.

o The company invested LKR 1 million to develop own laboratory facility. The lab was designed to test the ISO 3720 chemical parameters specified for Black Tea. The laboratory facilitates 05 tests that can be carried out to see if the tea is above or within the required standard levels.

o It is currently in the process of obtaining a 3rd party accreditation from SLAB. With the establishment of this lab, monitoring day-to-day compliances is done in-house and non-compliances of tea suppliers can be informed in shorter span of time that before and the internationally accepted standards for consumable tea can be maintained.
