In line with this commitment, we have taken a significant step toward a greener future by transitioning our energy consumption to solar power, with solar panel installations across both our factory and office premises.
This initiative not only reduces our carbon footprint but also reinforces our dedication to protecting the planet for future generations — one cup of tea and one ray of sunshine at a time.
The total investment for this project amounted to LKR 174 million and commenced in 2024. The first phase, implemented across 151 premises, includes an inverter capacity of 1 MW and a system capacity of 1,190.67 kWp, generating an estimated 135,735 kWh in the first year. The second phase followed with an inverter capacity of 160 kW and a system capacity of 192.09 kWp, with an expected first-year energy generation of 21,898 kWh.
